Diakon is proud to announce that it has received the Silver Keystone Award from the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for its DiaKINDNESS customer service program.
The DiaKINDNESS initiative was developed as part of Diakon’s commitment to fostering a culture of care and compassion, ensuring that every interaction reflects the organization’s mission of service to individuals, families, and communities. The program emphasizes acts of kindness, positive communication, and exceptional customer service across all levels of the organization.
The Central PA PRSA Silver Keystone Award recognizes excellence in public relations, communications, and marketing campaigns that make a measurable impact. Diakon’s DiaKINDNESS program stood out for its innovative approach and meaningful results in strengthening relationships with clients, staff, and various stakeholders.
One judge commented, “The target audience was clearly identified as Diakon employees across all roles, with a specific focus on fostering engagement among supervisors and staff in direct-service roles. Also, the clear identification of objectives, coupled with the emphasis on inclusivity and tailored communication, demonstrates a strong understanding of the employees and their work environment. The submission is an exemplary demonstration of thoughtful planning, creative execution, and professional delivery. The program’s alignment with both organizational objectives and employee needs is evident in its comprehensive design and engaging tools.”
Diakon extends its gratitude to the Central PA PRSA for this honor and to the entire Diakon team for their commitment to kindness, inclusivity and exceptional service.
