Support for Parents Navigating Dependency

Parents involved in dependency court can be referred to work with a Parent Advocate—an individual with lived experience who provides guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the process.

Through this program, parents receive:

  • One-on-one support from a trained Parent Advocate
  • Guidance in working toward personal and court-ordered goals
  • Support during court hearings and post-hearing debriefs
  • Help connecting to community resources
  • Access to bi-weekly parent groups (virtual and in person)

Program participation is based on each parent’s involvement in the court system. This program is available for referral for parents involved in dependency court. Services are tailored to each parent’s level of involvement and needs.
